Privacy policy

The FlowerTrials Foundation ensures that we gather, store and handle data fairly, transparently and with respect towards individual rights. We respect the personal data privacy of the FlowerTrials participants and visitors alike. The FlowerTrials Foundation commits to international standards of good practice in collecting, storing and processing individual personal data.
 

The FlowerTrials is a foundation registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce, Kamer van Koophandel number 34363883
 

The foundation facilitates services for Flower Breeding Companies who wish to organize individual events (open days) during an agreed period, Week 24 of each year, under the banner of the FlowerTrials concept, and be provided with services including, but not limited to, central registration of visitors and joint promotion. All agreements between the FlowerTrials Foundation and participants are recorded annually in the FlowerTrials Manifesto.

The FlowerTrials distinguishes between two types of data: data pertaining to participants of the FlowerTrials, confirmed as such by annual acceptance of the manifesto of the foundation and payment of the annual fee; and visitors to the FlowerTrials events, registered via the FlowerTrials online registration system.
 

For participants to the FlowerTrials, the following data is held:

• Company name
• First and last names of contact persons and gender prefix (mr.,mrs,ms.)
• Address
• Telephone and fax numbers
• Email address
• Chamber of Office number (for invoicing)
• Sales tax number (for invoicing)
• Bank account number (for payment processing)

This data is necessary for provision of services to participants under the agreements of the Foundation Manifesto. The data is held for the period that the company is a participant of the FlowerTrials and thereafter for the minimum period of holding financial records according to Dutch law.

For visitors to the FlowerTrials, registered via the central on-line registration system ‘Eventers’, provided to the FlowerTrials Foundation by Inforaction B.V., the following data is held:

• Company name
• First and last name
• Business address
• Email address
• Sector
• Function
• Telephone and fax number (non-obligatory field)
• Website address (non-obligatory field)

Data is used for the purposes of providing information to visitors by means of newsletter mailings and the website www.flowertrials.com

Registration data is passed on to the companies who are participants of the FlowerTrials and which an individual has indicated during the registration period that they will visit, or that they physically visit during the FlowerTrials event week. Note: Data once received by the participating company by registration or by physical visit is then subject to the privacy policy of that individual company.
 

Visitors wishing not to register their data may be admitted to FlowerTrials locations at the discretion of the individual event holder.
 

Any person wishing to have any or all of his or her data removed from the FlowerTrials database can do so by contacting the FlowerTrials secretariat per email: organization@flowertrials.nl We commit to responding within one calendar month.
